"WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" MONDAY (#3)

After a week last week that started high and spiraled downward by Friday, I had a ho-hum weekend with some occasional blues mixed in. If it hadn't been for some quality phone conversations with friends like Spider, Pete, Derek, and Tom this weekend and a Smileygram, I'd probably been "sittin' in the dumps." I wish I had gone with my impulse late Thursday and headed up to homeland, San Francisco Bay Area, to see family and hit the Folsom Street fair (lions and tigers and BEARS, oh my! - more like sweet!). Well, I have done my wallowing. It's a NEW WEEK... time for "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" Monday.

Today's question is: What would you do today (Monday) if you had it off? A simple question but I am sure one that will have a whole spectrum of answers.

Since I actually have no class on Mondays and am still looking for an internship at the moment, I guess I can disqualify myself here. I will say this, if I didn't have to worry about calling all new companies tomorrow to inquire about that needed intern spot, I'd have been up in San Francisco this past weekend staring at all those gorgeous men struttin' their stuff on Folsom. **sigh**

Here wondering what you will hit me with in terms of comments this week. Don't you dare hold back. Have a great week! Just think, only 4 more days until the weekend and two more days until Spider's special post.

Today - a walk on the beach - either that or checking out airline fares to the West Coast///

I agree with "Bitch from the Ditch" that I would get in the truck and see where the road takes me. I get off on one day road adventures at the spur of the moment. It's always good to be new cow somewhere else.

Sorry Sorted but I'm so used to Dan calling you that...

I would have slept in and then puttered on the computer all day. I would have probably cleaned the house a little as well. OOOOOOOH isn't life exciting!!!

It actually seemed sorta tame this year. Not as packed as I have seen it.

Some guy was walking around in this leather half vest thing held on with a large strap across the chest. I drunkenly pointed it out to my partner using the words "Project Runway" and "Angela's outfit from the last show" We both started laughing and trying to figure out if anyone we knew could get a picture.

Yeah, we were the locals at the Eagle sitting in the corner yucking it up.

I'd still be in Palm Springs in the pool... naked, like I was all weekend! Of course then I'd be in the office tomorrow exhausted and needing more rest after such a lovely weekend!

A day off ... nothing like going to the club and having a lesson with the tennis pro.

I'm not a fan of long weekends but this morning I was really tired so I would sleep in and probably spend the rest of the day watching porn and enjoying myself.

Yea your thinking the right thing.

I'd tidy up the house some, then finish a shirt I am making.
I'd start my Spanish lessons until my mind got to saturated. Then, to the gym; then I'd read the 40 blogs I love to read.

Well, I HAD it off. Slept in until 8:25. I spent a while online, did laundry, scrubbed the downstairs bathroom tiles (floor, shower, and vanity top) and grout, and sink, and toilet. Bleached them, mopped the kitchen floor, and went to Lowes spending $2500. Bought glass tiles for backsplash, a glass range top that is heat sensor controlled (no knobs), a Kohler cast iron sink in one of their "vapor" colors -- did the turquoise so it will look like a pool bottom, and a Groehe faucet -- the Ladylux (okay...no snickering) in brushed stainless with a manley pull out sprayer (it comes in two styles, one is more like something Martha Stewart would like), and four sets of Levelor brushed aluminum cordless blinds w/one inch slats. Came home, mowed the lawn, cooked dinner, watched about 10 minutes of TV. Will take a bath now, then crash.
