HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? (#17)
Tuesday, Tuesday. Tuesday is here! Time for my HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? Tuesday post. What surprise answers will you throw my way.
My question for you today is:
How do you like your cheesecake ~ traditional New York style, coated with some sort of fruit topping, or made up in some specialty form (ie. chocolate chip cheesecake)?
Why am I asking...'cause I have dessert on my mind. When I get stressed my 'sweet tooth' magnifies a hundred fold. AND DAMN, I COULD EAT A WHOLE CHEESCAKE RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT. I tend to love the traditional New York style cheesecake as long as it is creamy. I have had a number that come off as exceptionally dry. But my favorite cheesecake is made by dear ol' mom. She has a recipe that utilizes a vanilla wafer crust that is just phenomenal. Its appeal increases even more as a morning snack. I am gaining 5 lbs just thinking about this subject.
So how do you like your cheesecake? Fess up!

not a big fan of cheesecake here... but throw a hot brownie on top of some vanilla ice cream with chocolate and nuts... or a slice of carrot cake will do...
I don't eat cheesecake often. Maybe less than once per year - but, when I do, I like new york cheesecake maybe w/some rasberries/sauce.
I like mine with either blueberries or rasberries on top.
Plain 'ol cheesecake - like the one we took to Sorted's house for dinner that night and he didn't offer us any so he could keep it all for himself - that kinda cheesecake...
Oh yea, Smuckers has a milk chocolate carmel sauce that is to die for - we had that for the cheesecake at Sorted's house of which he offered us none... not that I remember or am bitter or anything...
Homemade dreamwhip/out of the boc thingy that my Mom used to make back in the 80's, no bake yum-yum's
I always went for the traditonal plain one until I hit Maxies in Times Square, the choice and standard of cheescake is phenominal. The portions are massive and I went there twice for cheesecake once in the same day. They have amazing toppings and I want to try them all!
As a native New Yorker, I'm partial to that recipe but it does have to be the creamy rather than the dry variety. And yes, fruit. Raspberries and peaches are my very favorite. And a graham cracker crust, please!
Oreo Cookies 'N Cream Cheesecake in a crust of crusehed Oreo cookies from The Cheesecake Factory
I love any and all kinds of cheesecake... which I can't have anymore on my no sugar diet. But when I was able to eat it my favorite was Turtle cheesecake, crumbled nuts with a caramel and chocolate drizzling. Mmmmm...
Cheesecake is too rich for me :(
Just a regular cheesecake you make from JellO is good enough for me.
I like Rasberry swirl cheese cake but really I'm not one to turn away any variety.
I can't eat cheesecake!
It is one of the few dishes that can make me ill!
Odd but oh so true...
I have a cheesecake recipe that's to die for... It's linked on my sidebar under favorite posts, then the last listed or here:

It's a cherry swirl cheesecake, and people practically harass me to make it over and over. The cherry is inside the cake and the crust is made from scratch by crushing graham crackers, sugar and butter (with a hit of cinnamon).
You won't regret making it, TRUST me!
Believe it or now (and I am a bulk guy), I do not like cheesecake.
