HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? (#7)
Boy does time fly by. We are already at another HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? Tuesday. It's funny ~ time is flying by for some things but for me, not fast enough in school. I need that summer vacation NOW! Enough said.
So this week's question is a humdinger! I've opted to leave the choice section out of the question and leave the question open-ended. Will we have inventive answers? Creative concoctions? We shall see. (I am playing off something Spider started last week.)
Here goes...how do you like your banana split 'served?'
Oh, I love when the soda shop takes the time to chill their glass dish bowls. It ensures that the ice cream stays 'firm' and all those delicious syrupy treats stay 'extra thick and goopy.' YUMMMM! Now I can think of one more incredibly delicious, sexy way to serve it. Wahoo! I can't share but of course I can't stop you from guessing. I'll just have to leave the answer to your imaginations.
So as always, spill your heart out to us in my comments section as to what way soothes the tummy and your fancy.

Strawberry and vanilla Ice Cream...chocalate syrup...walnuts, lots of walnuts in that gewy syrup...and whip cream...
I prefer mine served in a more novel way... don't like the traditional glass "boat container" - prefer something that is a little larger and a little narrower - something that is not chilled that allows the ice cream to melt slightly and let the flavors meld together - and eatable container is good, like a split waffle cone or something... no strawberry or pineapple for me, just bananas, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and marshmellow fluff... and lots of whipped cream - and oh yea, don't forget the nuts - the nuts are the best part... oh yea, I also love to lick the container clean... it just tastes so good that I don't want to leave any...
mine is much like Spider, I have only had a banana split from the Dairy Queen, that's the only place, so three scoops in a narrow bowl, one with chocalate, one with strawberries, and one with pineapples, all three with nuts over the topping, banana's on the both sides, and covered with whip cream, now Tony why didn't you get some whip cream and tease us a little with a homemade Tony split?
Skip the pineapple and make it with caramel and chocolate and butterscotch toppings, whipped creme and buts, lots of nuts and a big 'ole cherry on top! Oh yea, I guess you can add some icecream if you like, lol.
I like my bannana split served with lots of whipped cream, maybe a little chocolate, and a big juicy sweet cherry on TOP. ;)
I think I'm gonna have to go out and have a banana split now and rediscover this :) I don't think I've had one since I lived in NJ and that was some 27 years ago. yikes! Or were you refering to staying in Tony? :)
With 2 spoons and my honey right up against me.....fighting over the cherry!

Spider, admittedly I love to make sure the container is licked bone dry too! Are you sure you wouldn't want the container a little chilled?
Derek...A Tony split aye! Maybe that's how I like it served and maybe you just one the $1 mil prize. Suggestions for the whip cream?
First the banana needs to be nice and firm. Not to thick just the right size so when you get it in your mouth you have room for the ice cream and the gooey toppings. If the banana is too firm you run the risk of the toppings oozing out of your mouth and down your face. It can be quite a sticky mess.
Oh and I like all my sunday's to be Boys, whipcream, nuts and a cherry. Try it the next time you order one. If they ask you do you want nuts answer "Yes please, make mine a boy". The looks you get if they havent heard it before can be priceless.
I like my banana deep in the split of some guy's a...oops. That's not what you meant.
I don't like any other kind of banana splits. Too many things happening all at once. I like my food focused.
I like the edible bowl idea. And having a sweet tooth I'd have to say the strawberry and vanilla ice creams mixed with hot chocolate and caramel with a ton of walnuts and whip cream, and a few cherry's on top, because you can never have too many cherries.
